[AUDIO+COMPILATION OF TWEETS] Jejung’s Radio Guesting at Tokyo FM

@shacong via @rubypurple_fan
  • It’s been awhile. This is JYJ’s Jaejoong.
  • I’m a little sleepy.
  • Been practicing my radio voice (laughs)
  • DJ: Jaejoong’s charm is oozing
  • If you are invited to drink by someone you don’t like, would you still go? Yes, I will go because that person might get lonely if I turned down their invite.
  • I’m more pressured when I do solo activities but I also like the feeling of being able to do so.
  • How do you make sexy lyrics? I remember my old love
  • What’s your type? I don’t have any
  • I haven’t been doing body training since currently I don’t have any exercising machine at home
  • Some songs from the Asia tour are different than the Yokohama stop. I’ve been practicing a lot.
  • I’m not good at saying I love you, but I promise to say I love you every day in the Yokohama concert. I LOVE YOU!
  • For those coming, please take care coz there is a typhoon.
  • the MC is commenting that JJ’s Japanese is so good and JJ said it’s because I have a lot of Japanese friends~ ^^
@raiterie via @hellyryther
  • Jaejoong said he has more friends in Japan compared to Korea
  • When someone invites him to drink, he can’t decline. It’s lonely to drink alone so you’ll invite someone, but if no one comes you’ll be even lonelier so I can’t refuse (the invitation). But I’m a lonely person
  • It’s even more of pressure when being solo because he’ll have to show a different side to him compared to when he’s in JYJ
  • When he writes love song lyrics, he’ll remember from his own experience. Like the girl he used to love (shy)
  • What type of person are you attracted to?
JJ: First impression is important. When I see her, I was shocked that I couldn’t say anything. For days, the first impression was of that only her face comes to mind.
  • There’s no specific traits that I like.. but girls who say harsh things is a no-no. But you can’t say that even if you meet them, right?
  • I think Japanese girls are fine, I like them because a lot of them end up to adapt to their partners
  • There’s a lot of time where he couldn’t sleep. Once, he laid in bed for 6 hours without sleeping
  • I’m not building my body. I haven’t done it for 2 years. The live concerts are for me to sing, but the stamina for when you dance is different to doing sports
  • For Asia Tour, I’ve gone to a lot of place and Japan is the final destination. This time, the direction and song types are completely different so it’ll be a totally new stage. There’s a lot of Japanese songs and I’ve been practicing a lot too, so do anticipate it.
  • They talked about a decisive shout (like Chun’s “Junbi okkei?”)
JJ said it’s not permanent and depends on the situation.
  • Usually he talks in honorific forms but sometimes he just wanted to say ‘I love you-all ‘–in a colloquial way.
  • I don’t really say the words ‘I love you’ because I’m not good at saying it…lol
  • Of the three days, even once, please say “I love you”
JJ: I can’t just say it once so I’ll definitely say it (announcement by JJ )
  • Please be careful of the rain on your way to the venue. Even those who’re not coming, please take care because of the typhoon. I love you!
@ayano_jyj
  • airing Great DJ by The Ting Tings, the song was Sunanare OST
  • DJ Osamu Suzuki: (JJ is) cute and sexy. Jaejoong is cute so I could just gobble his up lol
  • airing Kiss B now
  • DJ: if you asked out for drink by who you don’t want to go with, what would do? JJ: I’ll go.
  • JJ: I don’t want to be alone
  • JJ:I had left by girlfriend (or someone he loved)
  • JJ:my fav type is a woman first impression is good. who can getting along with me (other).
  • JJ: I have not been training my body for about 2 years
  • JJ: I love you
  • JJ: I’m not good at to say I love you
  • he promised to say “I love you” during the all 3 days concerts!!
  • JJ: please be careful on the way to the venue cos it rains. fans who can’t come are too. typhoon is coming. I love you.

JYJ′s Kim Junsu′s Animal Documentary Draws High Ratings

Kim Junsu′s voice alone managed to bring high ratings to a late-night documentary.

According to AGB Nielsen Media Research, the MBC documentary The Zoo is Alive, which aired on March 25, managed to garner national viewership ratings of 4.7 percent.

The numbers are 1 point higher than last week′s documentary Uncomfortable Fifth Year of Youth College and 1.6 point higher than the pilot variety I Am Your Substitute Angel that aired the week before.

The number is especially staggering considering how the show was put up against such issue-making shows as SBS′ Healing Camp, which featured the controversial Sul Kyung Gu, and KBS2′s Hello.

While the ending credits rolled, scenes from Kim Junsu′s recording for the documentary and an interview were aired.

“I brought up my courage for the show because it was a documentary on animals,” he said.

Viewers commented, “I liked his voice,” “I hope there′s another episode coming” and “It was great to see Kim Junsu on MBC for the first time in a long while.”

JYJ Fans Upset Over Commentary on Presidential Inauguration Performance

Note from Hellothrice:

Yes, Channel A’s behavior was unprofessional. However, there were mistranslations initially about some of the commentary made by Channel A, and when their words are taken out of context, it seems really horrible.

Most of the comments people took offense to were also made by ONE male announcer because he was being incredibly rude. Still, most of the conversation included general statements about the Inauguration stage, not necessarily about JYJ’s performance so I can’t say this article is completely accurate.

EDIT: I added little notes to the article to explain things a little more.

======

JYJ Fans Upset Over Commentary on Presidential Inauguration Performance

Although it was the first time in two years that JYJ appeared on TV as an idol group, fans were not happy with the commentary made by Channel A’s anchors during the live broadcast.

On February 25, the Presidential Inauguration of Park Geun Hye took place at the National Assembly Building’s Center Plaza in Yeouido. As Park Geun Hye made her way over, congratulatory performances took place, including those by JYJ and Psy.

With each broadcast station streaming the performance differently with different announcers, Channel A has caught the wrath of JYJ fans due to the pointed comments made by its anchors.

Some of the comments included, “This is JYJ. You don’t know them well, right?” “They’re the ones that dropped out of TVXQ,” “When this song ends, Psy will come out,” and “We will listen to Psy during the live broadcast.” (Note: The rundown is not accurate because the article has left out bits and pieces of conversation between these comments)

They continued on, describing the performance as mediocre. (Note: They actually talked about the stage itself and inauguration performances in general)

When the male announcer stated, “Something seems missing. It’s supposed to have lights,” the female announcer tried to better the situation by explaining that since the focus is on the president’s inauguration and the performance is outside, it is seemingly different from what would be shown at a concert.

Having been at the 2002 Presidential Inauguration, a third announcer added that it’s hard to hear the music and the atmosphere is a bit unorganized as well. (Note: He was speaking in general terms)

The male announcer then said, “Compared to performances with brilliant lights, this performance seems like singing at a karaoke room.”

As JYJ’s performance came to an end, the female announcer wrapped it up, saying,“Although it has an unorganized vibe, it’s very meaningful that JYJ stood on this stage.” (Note: Another translation has it as, “It is very meaningful for JYJ to stand here today despite the stage being so unorganized / messy)

Fans became quite upset at the remarks, saying, “JYJ is not a rookie singer. They are globally influential singers,” “Can comments like that be said on air?” “Is Psy the only singer at this event?” and “We demand an apology.”

There were also a lot of outcries made when most of the broadcasting stations focused on Psy’s performance, while skimming over performances by the other artists, such as JYJ, Brave People, Sonya, and Jang Yoon Jung. [Note: This is what I see many more upset about now. And though Channel A did show some of JYJ’s performance, they chose to rudely speak over it.]

Clarification: Channel A's comments about JYJ

I don't know who translated the commentary but they made some mistakes that are angering many. I hope the mistranslations are removed.

The now clarified commentary:

+ The male announcer said the lighting and stage wasn't the best. Continued saying, it is rare for a performance to be heard clearly in such an event due to noise or the crowd

+ The female announcer then said JYJ should still feel honored to have performed on such a stage.

(Thank you @_chaconne_ for clearing it up)

+++

About the wrong translation of what ChannelA's announcers said.

It seems that someone (intentionally or unintentionally) mistranslated what the 2 Channel A announcers said about JYJ in the Presidential Inauguration Ceremony.

They actually said that the lighting and the stage were not good, which gave them the feeling that it was like karaoke stage; because the lighting and stage decoration of concert is usually splendid. Then the female announcer said, "Anyhow, the fact that JYJ perform in Presidential Inauguration ceremony has big meaning, even though they have to perform on such messy stage."

The part about TVXQ, the female announcer basically said that they were separated from TVXQ and became JYJ.

Although I feel that the male announcer doesn't really have favorable view of JYJ but we can't say that he insulted them.

Channel A explain their statement which upset JYJ fans at Presidential Inauguration Ceremony

Channel A explained what they meant by their statement.

On the 25th, many JYJ fans were excited as the boys performed on stage at the Presidential Inauguration Park Geun Hye. Not only was it a big honor but it was also the first time for the group to appear on broadcast television as a group. However, fans became a bit upset at Channel A for a statement made during JYJ’s performance.

During the performance, a male anchor stated, “This is messy. There’s something awkward. There should be lighting. We’ve always seen such fancy stages, so it doesn’t look like a show.” The female anchor for the station responded immediately, “It’s because it’s outside. President Park Geun Hye wanted a simple inauguration that many citizens could attend. Because of that, it’s different from the concerts we normally see.”

The male anchor’s comment caused many JYJ fans to rise up and criticize the channel. With the influx of complaints, Channel A explained, “Because the inauguration stage was prepared in a simple way, the stage was quite narrow. They mean that it looked chaotic because of all the audience moving around, since it was the start of the performances.”

How does JYJ's Park Yuchun look like in a chartered flight?

On the 23rd, a photo of Park Yuchun flying via a chartered flight was posted in JYJ's official facebook page and has attracted attention.

The photo shows Park Yuchun, wearing a black rider jacket and a black studded cap, sitting on a wide cushion seat while looking at something on his phone.*

Park Yuchun has left the country aboard a chartered plane in order to appear live on Hunan TV's special Chinese Lunar New Year broadcast. Park Yuchun is the only Korean invited to the special event which has been #1 most watched in China for 15 years.

On the same day, Park Yuchun has participated in 'Save the Children' knitting campaign. He left for China after his press conference with the local media.

130223 Yuchun’s Exclusive Interview with Sohu Entertainment: First China Show

Carefully arranged by the team for the Lantern Festival Joy Party (Yuan Xiao Xi Le Hui), Park Yuchun accepted an interview with a reporter over webchat, revealing some secrets in advance for his first show in China and also shared personal career developments.

Regarding this first show in China, he confirmed that he is taking a chartered plane over. He said that due to his packed schedule, the time was very tight, but fortunately, everything was well taken care of. Although he met up with the media during the Beijing Media Day last month, he is still very much looking forward to meeting everyone through the Hunan TV Lantern Festival night show. He is participating in China’s 2nd largest festival, the Lantern Festival’s live night broadcast on Hunan TV, the details of which he cannot reveal much, but he emphasised that he will be bringing a song performance that will be like a bright spark to everyone. So he is hoping everyone will watch the program happily on that night.

Because it is his first show in China, he is rather nervous. And also, he has not participated in variety shows for a long time, so he is really looking forward to it. He knows that the 3 dramas, ‘Sungkyunkwan Scandal’, ‘Rooftop Prince’ and ‘Missing You’, are very hot in China and he is very happy. He said he has a lot of things he wants to tell China viewers and many happy things to share, so he hopes he can do that on this Lantern Festival night.

Regarding the fact that ‘Missing You’ caused a great response on the internet and among fans, in this most heart-wrenching drama in history, when asked if he was showing his true self in his acting, he said sincerely, “Actually, I am also a sentimental person. The male lead has very delicate feelings, and for me, especially in the early morning or when I am alone, I will think about many things. At those times, I will also think about things related to the role or the performance of a song, so to me that is very helpful.” When asked about working with Yoon Eun Hye, he said their age gap is small, and the two of them matched each other well, so the filming of ‘Missing You’ went smoothly with no problems and ended well.

He debuted as a singer and his creative talents are well-recognised. As an actor, his dramas received unprecedented praise; with 4 dramas in 3 years, he swept the awards at the 3 TV stations in Korea and achieved a Grand Slam. In Korea, this honour and competence seems to belong only to Park Yuchun. Between being an actor and a singer, which does he like more? Or which will he focus more on developing in future? Park Yuchun said seriously, “Both have different attractions, so it is very hard to pick one. I became an actor after being a singer, but I feel that being an actor suits me. How do I put it? Just like a habit, being a singer is something very familiar to me; if I don’t sing, I will feel very uncomfortable. When I am filming a drama, I will still take some time out to sing. While I am working hard to be a good singer, I am also working hard to become a good actor.” Regarding fans being eager to know about his future plans in China, he gave a definite answer, ” I want to take on the challenge of a large-scale movie in China. I have a positive view towards China movies. So no matter when, if there is a chance, I hope to do a China movie or TV series.”

Because the team for this Lantern Festival Joy Party is the Happy Camp team, there was news on Tieba and Weibo (t/n Chinese social media platforms) that Park Yuchun will record a Happy Camp Special (t/n a very popular variety show in China). Yuchun said that most Chinese viewers know him through Korean dramas, so he would like everyone to see Park Yuchun through this Lantern Festival program. If through a variety show, he can close up the distance with the China audience, that would be great.

Regarding his gift to the audience, Park Yuchun said there will be a big surprise. Looks like we will definitely have to watch Hunan TV’s Lantern Festival Joy Party live broadcast on 24 Feb at 7.30pm to see his performance and surprise.

130213 Park Yuchun and Yoon Eun Hye expected to attend Hunan TV Lantern Festival, their very first show in China

2013 has just started; the smoke from the war among major TV stations’ Spring Festival night shows has not yet vanished but the finale of the Spring Festival holiday period on the fifteenth night of the Lunar New Year, the Lantern Festival night party’s “big war” has again quietly started. There is news from Hunan Satellite TV officials that the “Lantern Festival Joy Party” will not only have CCTV famous TV host Sa Bei Ning 撒贝宁 joining as a host, but will also welcome popular Korean drama <Missing You> male and female leads, Park Yuchun and Yoon Eun Hye, in their first China show!

<Missing You> is MBC’s new drama by Korean actress Yoon Eun Hye and male group JYJ member cum actor Park Yuchun, and is a love story about the bitter first love that traumatized both male and female leads. This drama ended perfectly on 17 Jan and not only received good ratings in Korea but was also in hot pursuit by local viewers. Because of the pronunciation of the characters’ names (T/N. Soo Yeon and Jung Woo), netizens nicknamed Park Yuchun and Yoon Eun Hye as “Cured (or Salted) Fish Couple” “腌鱼夫妇” (T/N. an affectionate nickname; Yeon-Woo in Chinese “妍”-“宇” sounds a bit like ‘cured fish’). They will appear on the fifteenth night live telecast of Hunan TV “Lantern Festival Joy Party” as their very first show in China. But the details of their appearance are still confidential.

Quite recently, Hunan TV presenter Du Hai Tao tried to imitate handsome and cute Park Yuchun’s sleeping position (T/N from a scene in the drama); it triggered a series of scathing comments from netizens and he was even laughed at: “If you lost weight, then you are Park Yuchun.”

Jaejoong reveals his wish to meet with Japanese fans as part of JYJ first rather than a solo artist

JYJ‘s Jaejoong, who commented that he’d like to start performing again in Japan, after winning their lawsuit against Avex, specified that rather than meeting his Japanese fans first as a solo artist, he’d want to wait to do so with his members.

When asked during a press conference, “Can’t you, Jaejoong, be the one to start activities in Japan first?”, Jaejoong replied, “Personally, I would like all three of us to do it together. Whether it’s a concert or broadcast, at least for the fans in Japan who faithfully waited four years, we want to show ourselves as the three of us together. How much must they have endured? We said ‘we’ll go, we’ll go’ but couldn’t. We said ‘we’ll perform, we’ll perform’ but couldn’t.”

Jaejoong also hinted about JYJ’s upcoming comeback and revealed, “JYJ’s new album will probably be released this year. It would be better to go see them carrying our new album.”
